Black Money Essay
The unaccounted money; that is concealed from the tax administrator is called "Black Money". The black money is accumulated by the criminals, smugglers, hoarders, tax-evaders, and other anti-social elements of the society,
who are not scared of the punishment given by law for such great crimes. Presently around 22000 crores of rupees are supposed to have been accumulated by the criminals for vested interests.
The root cause of the increasing rate of black money in the country is the lack of strict punishments for the offenders. The criminals pay lumpsum bribes to the tax authorities to hide their corrupt activities.
Thus, they are rarely punished by the law. The criminals, who conceal their accounts from the Govt. authorities include big politicians, film stars, cricketers, and businessmen of the country.
They are the people, whose talent and caliber are appreciated by the public, but they cheat their countrymen, by concealing their assets and liabilities from the Government. In fact, the people who get great names, fame, and money in their country must use their money for the upliftment of their society and open up free placement bureau, old age homes, and orphanages in their country, but they do the opposite.
They begin to exploit and cheat innocent people for their vested interests. This is a highly condemnable act in society. The public must protest against the activities of the black marketeers, tax evaders, and hoarders of society. They should write letters to the tax authorities to take strict actions against the culprits.
The public must give the right information about the suspicious characters to the Govt. The tax-administration department should conduct raids against all the criminals for the non-payment of taxes, only then would this problem be solved to a great extent.
