A Visit To Trade Fair Essay
Trade Fairs are becoming very popular because of their ability to bring the buyers and sellers on a common platform. India International Trade Fair is one of the largest trade fairs to be held in the continent of Asia. This fair is organized in Delhi, every year from 14th November to 29th Nov. at Pragati Maidan.
Besides machinery and technologies, therefore so many varieties of crafts and food items to display. One can find almost anything at the trade fair, such as items of daily use, the latest electronic equipment, textiles, and consumer goods, etc. Last Sunday, we five friends also decided to visit the fair. We bought tickets and entered gate No. 2. I was surprised to see the grandeur of the trade fair. There were pavilions of different states. We first visited the Orissa pavilion.
It was decorated in a typical Oriya manner. Patchwork articles were displayed. There were hand-woven raw silk sources in different varieties. We were wonder-struck to see its decoration. Then we went to the Uttar Pradesh Pavilion. It was a big pavilion. There was a vast variety of Lakhnavi embroidered articles and Kanpuri Jutees.
It was also beautifully decorated. Then we went into the Punjab Pavilion. Many agricultural implements were exhibited. It was followed by traditional crafts like Phulkari and embroidered leatherwork. In every state pavilion, there were food stalls also. After so much walking we were feeling tired, so we entered in Rajasthan's pavilion and took churma batti and dal.
It is the particular dish of Rajasthan. After the 'Pet-Puja' we entered in 'Good-living' Pavilion. Inside it was the latest models of refrigerators, ovens, food processors, and other household items. We booked for a microwave oven after giving Rs. 500. then the next section was that of fUrnishings. We were spellbound to see beautiful items.
wished to buy all items but our pocket didn't allow./ We purchased two decoration pieces. There was a large crowd in the fair, but we forgot everything, after watching so many things under one roof. We felt thrilled and excited.
